joke of the day:

today, while at work, this little boy came into the shop with his daddy.
he saw the chocolate and tell his daddy "Daddy! i want chocolate!"
me [sir, just to inform you, its double chocolate today and not the usual belgium chocolate.]
boy *eyes brighten up* [ i wan double chocolate!]
father [ get him a double chocolate then...]
me [ sure, juz a moment ] * scoop the double chocolate and give a little boy*
boy [ eh? i tot u say double chocolate? y is there only one scoop of chocolate here?]
me [ -_-"' ]

haha. cute boy. totally misunderstood the meaning of double chocolate.

which leads me thinking....
theres so many meaning to certain phrases and sentences.
therefore, its easy for miscommunication to occur.
how many of us quarrel cos of miscommunication and misunderstanding each other?
should we blame it on English itself for having multiple meanings, or blame it on the parties involoved for being ambiguous?
